HFR Awarded AZ Humanities Mini Grant

Hayden’s Ferry Review is happy to announce that we received a mini-grant from Arizona Humanities to support our upcoming Fall Languages Series!

Arizona Humanities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and the Arizona affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The mission of Arizona Humanities is to build a just and civil society by creating opportunities to explore our shared human experiences through discussion, learning, and reflection. Since 1973, Arizona Humanities has supported public programs that promote understanding of the human experience with cultural, educational, and nonprofit organizations across Arizona. Arizona Humanities awards grants to cultural, educational, and nonprofit institutions, such as museums, libraries, tribal entities, and universities.

The HFR Fall Language Series will include two events:

  • Tuesday, Oct 25th @ 5:30 pm AZ | Virtual Launch for the Thousand Languages Project.

This event will feature readings of original and translated work published in Hayden's Ferry Review followed by a discussion of literary translation as a practice.

  • Tuesday, Nov 1st @ 5:30 pm AZ | HFR Fall Coffee Chat

This event will feature two writers from our Revolutionary Forms web issue who will be in conversation about the importance and innovation of hybrid creative writing and the literary craft behind it, the writing process behind the two speakers' published hybrid work, and how participants might apply this to their own writing.

More details about these events will be shared in the coming weeks. To stay updated, sign up for our newsletter here: http://eepurl.com/h44Kib
