Thousand Languages Project is Live!

We’re pleased to announce that Thousand Languages, a Hayden’s Ferry Review and Virginia G. Piper Center special project featuring translations of work originally appearing in HFR, is now live!

Visit the new database at thousandlanguages.asu.edu to view the first installment.

This first set of translations, Languages Across Borders, features writing from as early as HFR Issue 2 translated into Spanish, Greek, Turkish, and/or Romanian by a team of intern graduate students led by previous Supervising Editor Katie Berta. Revisit some of HFR’s stellar poetry, prose, and interviews now with parallel translations.

Thousand Languages is a living, ever-developing database, and translations will be added each year. If you’ve been published in Hayden’s Ferry Review issues in the past and would like to see your work translated, contact thousandlanguagesproject [AT] gmail [DOT] com. Thousand Languages Project coordinator Jackie Balderrama would be happy to add your work to the growing number of approved pieces from which translations are selected.
