Will Steacy's Photography in Two Upcoming Shows
HFR contributor Will Steacy is exhibiting new photography in two shows this month in NYC.
The photograph that appeared on the cover of issue #41 (pictured here) was from Will's project The Human Stain, images of found flood-damaged photographs made during the time he spent documenting the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Four of his other photos appeared inside the issue. You can see another one on the HFR website here.
How I Spent My Summer Vacation will run from September 12-October 11 at the Michael Mazzeo Gallery, with an opening reception on Friday, September 12th from 6-8 pm.
Photographs Will made of Barack Obama in New Orleans will be published in the book Barack Obama: The Historic Campaign by Deborah Willis and Kevin Merida. An exhibition of those photographs will run September 19-November 9 at the Leica Gallery, with an opening reception and book signing on Thursday, September 18th from 6-8 pm.
