Editor-in-Chief: Dustin pearson
Dustin Pearson received his BA and MA in English Literature from Clemson University, where he directed the Annual Clemson Literary Festival for four years. He received his black belt in Tae Kwon Do from the National Karate Institute. He enjoys changing the pitch of songs and would eat white rice and soy sauce regardless of living on a graduate student budget. He is from Summerville, South Carolina.
Managing Editor: Cheyenne L. Black
CL Black, though born in Yuma, has lived in ten states and visited all but two (Alaska and Hawaii). She comes to Hayden's Ferry via (Cascadia) NW Washington state, which she still calls "home." She received her BA in creative writing and interdisciplinary studies from Western Washington University. Her interdisciplinary concentration, Editing and Publishing Innovation, focusedon those industries, teaching, and the marginalized voice in media and the arts. Currently she is attempting daily progress on a poetry collection which focuses on the experiences of women and children in cowboy culture. Black writes across the genres, teaches writing, and loves/makes arty/nerdy stuff like encaustics, cob houses, photographs, and book arts. The fastest way to get her to attend an event is to tell her there will be a campfire.
Fiction EDITORS: Edward Derbes & Connor Syrewicz
Edward Derbes is the co-Prose Editor for Hayden's Ferry Review. He spent the last few years working as copywriter in San Francisco before moving down to Arizona for his MFA at Arizona State University. When he's not writing, he's probably watching baseball or some old detective movie.
C. Connor Syrewicz is an MFA candidate in fiction at Arizona State University and expects to complete his degree in 2018. He was born and raised on Long Island and his work has appeared in Reed Magazine, the Superstition Review, Zymbol, and the EEEL among other places.

Susan Nguyen is a Co-Poetry Editor for Hayden's Ferry Review and an MFA candidate in poetry at Arizona State University. Her work has appeared in PANK, diode, decomP and others. She received a BA, English from Virginia Tech.
International Editors: Sue Hyon Bae & Maritsa Leyva martinez
Sue Hyon Bae writes poetry. She grew up in South Korea, Malaysia, and Texas. She received her BA in English from Washington University in St. Louis and taught English and SAT in Texas and Korea before joining ASU. She loves cats despite a severe allergy and does math for fun.
Maritsa Leyva Martinez was born in Guerrero, Mexico and was raised in Houston, Texas. An avid traveller and amateur chef, she has enjoyed delicious cuisine in Rome, Guadalajara, London, Oaxaca, Naples, Puebla, Lyon, Madrid, Queretaro, Mexico City, Sorrento, and other smaller and bigger nooks in the world. In her past lives she has worked as a TEFL certified instructor, English Lit middle school teacher (Colegio Erik Erikson), English professor (Universidad TecMilenio), Education and Community Engagement intern (Alley Theatre), Social Media Manager (Sweet Dreams Rwanda - A Documentary Film), photographer (Blue Marble Dreams), tutor (Tutorville Texas), and receptionist (Toni & Guy). Currently, she is an MFA Fiction candidate at Arizona State University and expects to complete her degree in 2018.

Jennifer Conlon lives in Tempe, AZ and hails from the land of tobacco and proper bbq—North Carolina. She was called to this desert by ASU’s MFA program in poetry and was joined by her family—her fiancé Ben, two dogs, and several reptiles. She enjoys watching Star Trek, cooking, gardening, and outdoor exploration. One day she will build herself a hobbit home.
