Artist Statement:
For me, collage is an ecosystem of archetypes, symbols, and synchronicities: an [im]possibility space where creatures, forms, and ideas can interact in surprising ways to make something new. In this remixed world, the frisson between elements that don't seemingly belong together frees insights ungoverned by the conscious mind. The assembled visual story of "Limerence" reflects the ups and downs of 2022: a contemplation of grief and anxiety alongside glimpses of hope, reverence, and awe.
