Anna Lys Black (formerly Cheyenne L. Black) received her BA (magna cum laude) in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in editing and publishing innovation and creative writing from Fairhaven college and Western Washington University. She has served as the editor-in-chief of the magazines Hayden's Ferry Review and Inkspeak, and is a twice awarded Virginia G. Piper global teaching and research fellow. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in the anthologies We Will be Shelter and In Sight: An Ekphrastic Collaboration, as well as the journals 45th Parallel, Bacopa Review, Wordgathering, the American Journal of Poetry, and New Mobility among others. She has taught composition, creative writing, and/or publishing at Arizona State University, Western Washington University, Perryville Women's Prison, and the National University of Singapore.

Fiction EDITORS: Edward Derbes & Connor Syrewicz
Edward Derbes is the co-Prose Editor for Hayden's Ferry Review. He spent the last few years working as copywriter in San Francisco before moving down to Arizona for his MFA at Arizona State University. When he's not writing, he's probably watching baseball or some old detective movie.
C. Connor Syrewicz is an MFA candidate in fiction at Arizona State University and expects to complete his degree in 2018. He was born and raised on Long Island and his work has appeared in Reed Magazine, the Superstition Review, Zymbol, and the EEEL among other places.

Susan Nguyen is a Co-Poetry Editor for Hayden's Ferry Review and an MFA candidate in poetry at Arizona State University. Her work has appeared in PANK, diode, decomP and others. She received a BA, English from Virginia Tech.

Leah Newsom is a fiction writer and Arizona native. She is an MFA candidate in fiction at Arizona State University and is the Communications Coordinator at the Institute for Humanities Research. She is also the founding editor of an online literary endeavor called Spilled Milk Magazine.
