Shannon Moran is a poet, essayist, and musician originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She is the winner of a 2023 AWP Intro Journals Prize, as well as the 2019 Sophie Kerr Prize. You can find her work in Nimrod and New Letters Magazine. She just recently obtained her MFA from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and currently lives in Kansas City with her fiancé and their puppy, Merlin. She loves to eat dessert.
